REVIEW: Dolly Parton 'Pure & Simple' Live in Toronto

Queen Dolly graced the stage at the Molson Amphitheatre in Toronto over labour day weekend to close out the Summer Concert Series!!

I considered myself lucky to be in attendance of such talent. The Pure and Simple Tour was Dolly's first major tour in 25 years, and I am so thankful that I got to catch a show! The Pure and Simple Tour really was just that, pure and simple. No major background or backup singers/dancers, no jumbotron, no massive stage show. Just Dolly Parton doing what she does best! Singing her decades of hits, telling jokes and entertaining the crowd. Dolly Parton does not need anything more than that to put on an amazing show.

One of the most fun parts of the nights is when Dolly told a story about when her backup band found out they were about to embark on the Pure and Simple Tour. Her guitarist said "Wow, Dolly, that will be really exciting, I've always wanted to see you stripped down without the glitz and glam, big hair and makeup." Dolly let us know that unfortunately, "he's no longer with the tour!" LOL. What Pure and Simple really meant was that Dolly was going back to the music. And that she did...check out the and some photos of the show below!! (Can we talk about how AMAZING she looks??? I want that outfit.)
