Tyler Farr celebrates #1 single with intimate Nashville performance

The She's Gone Country girls made a quick trip to Nashville last week to celebrate Victoria Day weekend!! (In Canada we get statutory holidays to celebrate birthdays of long-dead British Queens, not that I am complaining!!)

We packed as much as possible into the short vacation, hitting up the hot spots on Broadway, day drinking in Midtown, brunching in 12 South and shopping in East Nashville.

Some of the highlights include checking out our new favourite store Kitty (521 Gallatin Avenue, Nashville, TN 37206). We stopped in days before their Grand Opening celebration and had a look around. We even "borrowed" some look inspiration from store owner Sarah Davidson of Stella//James band and Private Lives of Nashville Wives fame. If you are in town you should definitely check it out!! Great clothes and affordable!

We made the traditional Pancake Pantry stop, hit up Target (RIP Target Canada) and Waffle House (because it seems like the late night thing to do in the South).

And besides eating, another highlight was running into one of our favourites Chris Young!! Besides gushing about his new song and his need to come back to play in Canada, we also discussed the clumsy way one of us nearly see-sawed off a bench in front of him.. always keeping it classy! ;)

The Monday night go-to for us is always Whiskey Jam. Held every Monday at Winner's on Division St, Whiskey Jam is organized by Ward Guenther and Josh Hoge (incredible songwriter who cowrote Chris Young's new single "I'm Comin' Over" and also happens to be brother to one of our faves Will Hoge... and also happened to witness the aforementioned mortifying bench seesaw). Some of the most talented musicians and songwriters tend to just pop in and play a few songs and last week did not disappoint.

Tyler Farr made good of his promise to return to the Whiskey Jam stage when he got another number one and celebrating the success of "A Guy Walks Into A Bar", he kicked off the night playing his new hit with Jonathan Singleton who wrote the song and a couple other favourites, including "Redneck Crazy". Check out the video below!!
