CMT Awards Heat Up Nashville

Nashville's biggest and brightest were all in Music City last week for the 2014 CMT Music Awards.

Hosted by Kristen Bell for the 3rd year in a row (hosting solo for the first time).
The CMT Awards opened with country's hottest acts, Luke Bryan & Florida Georgia Line, along with ZZ Top and Jason Derulo, a bit of an odd pairing in my opinion, for a cringeworthy performance. Luckily, Bryan redeemed himself when he took the stage solo later in the evening to perform his #1 single, Play It Again.

The performances made up for the often awkward banter and obvious teleprompter-reading...proving most country stars should stick to being musicians, but we're just fine with that! Other performances of the night included Blake Shelton, the Band Perry, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Lady Antebellum and to end the show, Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood teamed up together for "Somethin Bad"

And the award goes to....
